how to convert fraps avi to mp4 with perfect compression and uploading for youtube.
what you'll need
- VLC mediaplayer
- Fraps
step one
- record in tribes so you can still play on stable frame rate.
step two
- play the tribes recording with a barebones hud layout and record via fraps
notes: fraps will not display the framerate benchmark in the corner after recording. Thats purely for the user knowledge.
step three
- open VLC media player
- top left corner click on media
- click on convert/save
- click on the button "add"
- browse for your bloated raw video format AVI
- click on convert/save
- profile should be the top mp4 setting
- browse a destination and give it a name and click ok
its easier to save and upload them this way because you save so much file size. Literally saved so much space and time by switching to VLC
