Connection problem

Hi Everyone,

I am unable to connect to the BR server. When I click join, the load screen freezes and refuses to connect.

I am able, however, to successfully connect to other Tribes' servers.

Am I perhaps banned?

My ip is 117.20.94.54.

If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it, and remember my English is not very good, so please carefully explain anything I might need to do.

It may be the Master Server. I'll see if I can reach bo'sdad and he can look at the ban list. I don't think you are banned.

Do you have the new Master Server info?

it could be due to the buffer overload glitch in the beta version of 1.4 due to a bad master server listing. of course i have no idea what i am talking about, but it might be worth a shot.
type connect("208.99.194.178:28001");
into the console a.k.a. the ~ key
and, you may need to update your master server. i think you have been gone since kigen replaced his

Yea we tried that for a while Erowid. I gave him all the master server info there is. He sent me a SS of what it looks like and I think he may be banned somehow. He's not on any ban lists that are available to anyone other than a couple peeps.

he's not banned, I looked it up for him last night. if he was banned it would tell him he was. he isnt able to ping the server. and when he tries to join anyway, it stalls out cause he's not getting a server ping.

I send him my server list and he said he tried that, but when he sent me a ss it didnt look the same as mine, he didnt use the master list name , he just had ( ok ) in it's place. then I sent him links to 1.11 1.30 1.40 and 1.40 <!> down loads. he said they all failed to down load, and he was connecting to two different sites. so I asked him to reset his router or change his ip. I really think he has a router or master list problem. I could be wrong, as Im not very good with comp stuff. I just know what I know from it happening to me over the years. he says he can ping every server except br.

Well the good news is we are trying to rally as a community to help.

It couldn't possibly be something on his computer like a firewall or exe block?

it is probably his master list, he had one he was using and under the name portion he had ( ok ) which it usually doesnt except. he last said he cant down load new versions of tribes. which makes me think it a porn related virus LOL I dont know at this point , I have tried for three days to help him. he said he has tried 1.11, 1.30. 1.40 versions and they all do the same thing, however, he is not deleting his old tribes so I wonder if the new tribes is loading over the old files and the corrupted file is left in place. I said ( if it where me ) I would wipe tribes off my cpu and reload a whole new tribes and reload the master list. I dont know if he will do that or not.

Try sending him your MasterServers and your GameServerList.
